HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas—Leoda Madge Newsom, 94, of Longview, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Mrs. Newsom was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Clarksville, Texas. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie "Jack" Newsom. Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Newsom of Henderson, Nev., Joe and Denise Newsom of Daingerfield, Texas, and Johnny Newsom of Baytown, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Janelle and Danny Hudgins of Granbury, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
