BOB CORNELIUS

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Bob Cornelius, 84, of Bagwell, Texas, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at his home. Mr. Cornelius was born Sept. 16, 1933, in Ralls, Texas. He was a rancher, former Chief of Bagwell Volunteer Fire Department and a deacon with Bagwell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Fay Cornelius. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Lisa Cornelius of Clarksville and Jimmy and Tricia Cornelius of Converse, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Tommy VanDeaver of Clarksville and Kathie and Bruce Roseberry of New Boston, Texas; one sister, Jane Ann Davis of Ralls, Texas; one special friend, Ibbie Varner; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Clarksville Funeral Home with Karl Bush and Kevin Cornelius officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
