STAMPS, Ark.—Carrie Thomas, 88, of Falcon, Ark., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2017. Mrs. Thomas was born Aug. 6, 1929. She was a home health aide with the Southwest Development Council, formerly employed in the Oak Grove High School cafeteria, Rosston, Ark., and a member of Clevet Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Falcon. Survivors include her husband, Minor Thomas of Falcon; five children, Martha Rodgers of Chicago, Eddie Thomas of Hope, Ark., Charles Thomas of Tyler, Texas, David Thomas of Stamps and Annette Thomas-Jones of Little Rock; three brothers, Joseph Morgan of Wichita, Kan., James Morgan of Los Angeles and Bruce Newton of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Lee Versie Madison of Stamps; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Clevet Springs Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Johnson and Eddie Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Clevet Springs Cemetery under direction of Smith Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with visitation 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and following services at the church.
