ROY KNOX

HOPE, Ark.—Roy Knox, 99, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018. Mr. Knox was born Feb. 5, 1918. He was retired from Day and Zimmerman, a former notary, post commander of American Legion Post 888, a member of Knights of Pythias and Mount Pleasant CME Church and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth "Bess" Knox; one son and daughter-in-law, Roy T. and Pamela Woods Knox of Houston; three daughters, Peggy Knox and Rowenia Cheatham of Wake Village, Texas, and Cheryl Knox of Houston; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Pleasant CME Church. Burial will be in Deann Cemetery, Prescott, Ark., under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with visitation 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
