Roger Davis, 74, of Texarkana died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Davis was born June 26, 1943, in New Orleans. He was retired from Texarkana College. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Solomon. Survivors include one son, Roderick Davis of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter, Tina Davis-Sines of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Julia Hamilton of Texarkana; two special nieces, Carolyn Butler of Texarkana and JoAnn Matthews of Ashdown, Ark.; and one special nephew, Kevin Hamilton of Texarkana, Ark. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. today at Community Baptist Church with Michael Watson officiating under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Online registration is at haynesmortuary.com.
