ASHDOWN, Ark.—Dorothy "Bea" Ricks, 95, of Lockesburg, Ark., died Thursday July, 5, 2018. Mrs. Ricks was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Lockesburg. She was a homemaker and a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gabbard. Survivors include one son and daughter-in law, Jerry and Patricia Gabbard of Huntsville, Texas; one daughter, Jan Coon of Nashville, Ark.; two sisters, Jean Wilkerson of Broaddus, Texas, and Pat Wulf of Nederland, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wrights Chapel Cemetery, Lockesburg, with the Rev. Larry Fry officiating. Burial will be under direction of Madden Funeral Home.
