BILL HUGHES

Ben L. "Bill" Hughes, 95, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, July 13, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mr. Hughes was born July 15, 1923, in Wright City, Okla. He was owner of Manufacturer's Sales, a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Marie Hughes. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Charlie Boyer of Texarkana and Sandy and Steve Peoples of Fort Smith, Ark; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Carolyn Hughes of Texarkana; one sister, Maxine Griffin of Texarkana, Ark.; two sisters-in-law, Bettye McCright of Texarkana and Lois Hughes of Coppell, Texas; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Northern Hills Baptist Church with Dr. Roger Copeland officiating. Private burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
