CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Wayne S. Smith, 91, of Bryant, Ark., died Friday, July 13, 2018. Dr. Smith was born Sept. 15, 1926, in Roxton, Texas. He was former Principal of the Sparkman, Ark., high school and junior high schools, former pastor with a variety of Baptist churches, and founder of One to the Other Ministries. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ruth Smith; and one granddaughter, Abbi Lane Smith. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Karen Smith of Benton, Ark.; one granddaughter, Lilly Lynn Smith of Benton; and one great-grandson, Ryan McKenzie Smith of Benton; and a number of other relatives. Memorial services were July 17 at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church, Little Rock. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Detroit Cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
