DAVID RUSSELL

DeKALB, Texas—David M. Russell, 69, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at a Shreveport, La., hospital. Mr. Russell was born Feb. 3, 1949, in New Boston. He was an IT equipment salesman, a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post No. 488 and First Baptist Church, New Boston, and a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Clair Russell of Houston; two nieces, Allison Russell Etchison and Ann Parrott; and two nephews, Ryan Russell and Chris McIntyre. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
