Reona Sharp

HOPE, Ark.—Reona Althia Phillips Sharp, 89, of Hope died Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Texarkana. Mrs. Sharp was born March 6, 1929, in Hempstead County, Ark. She was a member of Bethel AME Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sharp Jr.; and five children, Virginia Ann, Freddie Lee, James Edward, Levester and Kenneth Ray. Survivors include six sons, Robert Lee, Jimmy Louis, Sylvester, Aaron Jeroine, Louis Calvin and John Wayne; two daughters, Diana Renee and Linda Sharp Beasley; two special friends, Noble Pearl Balance and Barbara Shilling; eight grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Bethel AME Church, Hope. Burial will be in Cave Hill No. 2 Cemetery under direction of Hicks Funeral Home. The body may be viewed 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today with visitation 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
