JOYCE CRAWFORD

Joyce Evelyn Yates Crawford, 88, of Hooks, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, in a local hospice. Mrs. Crawford was born Aug. 16, 1929, in Center, Texas. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of First Baptist Church, Hooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur B. Crawford; and one great-grandson, Joshua Cranfill. Survivors include one son, Dennis Crawford of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Wayne Cranfill of Hooks; three sisters, Mickie Power of Longview, Texas, Shirley Coker of Mesquite, Texas, and Peggy Thompson of Dallas; four grandchildren, Lisa Cranfill, Allan Cranfill, Sunni Cranfill West and Brittany Crawford; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
