JIMMY BERGT

Jimmy David Bergt, 65, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at his home. He was born November 6, 1952, in Texar-kana, Texas. He was the proud owner of Sico Machine Shop for 42 years, devoted Liberty Eylau community member, and former school board member of Liberty Eylau ISD. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Daisy Bergt. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Bergt of Texarkana; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Cliff Martin of Texarkana; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Jamie Bergt and Hank and Amanda Bergt, both of Texarkana; one sister, Peggy Richardson of Texarkana; seven grandchildren, Colton and Baylee Bergt, Coy, Carter, and Cade Martin, and Peyton and Lucas Bergt; and a number of other relatives and close friends. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2017 at East Memorial Chapel Downtown with Steve Petty officiating. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
