Harold Randolph Allen passed in peace to be with his Lord and Savior on the morning of March 12, 2018. He was born at home in Ravanna, Arkansas on February 18, 1927. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Lee Allen, who took care of him and beautifully helped him through all the turmoils and celebrations of life for 71 years. He is also survived by daughter Carole Allen Hughes and her husband Past James Hughes. He was "Grumps" to 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Also survived by daughter-in-law, Rhonda Allen but preceded in death by son Gordon Allen. Also survived by two sisters in law and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Harold was the last remaining child of 11. Harold shared a deep love of God with his family and friends. He served as deacon at Enon Baptist Church and New Hope Baptist Church where he worshiped for 49 years. Even though he lived his entire life in Ravanna, AR, his influence spread to many family and friends the world over. Harold loved to fish, spend time outdoors, and celebrate with family. He was a retired pipe fitter but also worked many years in pulp-wood, drove a school bus,and worked for Miller County. Harold was no stranger to physical labor. He taught us the value of hard work and making the most of the opportunities the Lord has given us. His loving personality and kind, gentle nature made him popular with babies and puppies. We will miss his sweet temperament and cherish the memories and lessons he taught many of us over the years. There will be a Memorial Service at New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday morning at 11:00am. Officiating will be Dr. David Baxley and Rev. James Hughes. Tributes and memorials can be made to New Hope Baptist Church or Enon Baptist Church cemetery fund. Online registration is at www.texarkanafuneralhome.com
