GILBERT MORRIS

PRESCOTT, Ark.—Gilbert Franklin Morris Jr., 75, of Bentley, La., died Friday, March 23, 2018, in an Alexandria, La., hospital. Mr. Morris was born Feb. 8, 1943. He was retired from Louisiana Department of Transportation and a truck driver at Lutesville Sand and Gravel. He was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Ray Morris. Survivors include three daughters, Rita Chapman of Newnan, Ga., Lolita Morris of Annapolis, Md., and Robin Tolbert of Deville, La.; two brothers, Dwayne Morris and Bobby Morris of Forest Hill, La.; five grandchildren, Jamie Tolbert, Jana Tolbert, Eric Bell, Erin Bell and Blake Morris; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Morris officiating. Burial will be in Deann Cemetery.
