JOE STRINGER

ATLANTA, Texas—Joe R. "Jody" Stringer, 60, of Atlanta died Sunday, March 25, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas, hospice. Mr. Stringer was born Oct. 1, 1957, in Texarkana, Texas. He was a retired lineman at Bowie Cass Electric, a retired building contractor and a Christian. Survivors include one daughter, Keli Stringer of Atlanta; one son, Kirk Stringer of Atlanta; two brothers, Paul Stringer of Atlanta and Ronald Stringer of Longview, Texas; six nieces and nephews, Jared Stringer, Kyli Caver, Michael Stringer, Mark Stringer, Jason Stringer, Elisa Talley; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hanner Funeral Service with Don Crutcher officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
