Hazel Copeland

Hazel Elizabeth Copeland, 94, of Texarkana, Ark., died Thursday, May 3, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Copeland was born May 7, 1923, in Saratoga, Ark. She was retired from GTE, a Grand Worthy Matron Amaranth with the Masons and a member of Fairview Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buzzy Copeland; and one son, Steve Copeland. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mike Oliver of Texarkana; one daughter-in-law, Shirley Copeland of Hallsville, Texas; one sister-in-law, Carmen Reed of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with the Rev. Tommy Ridor officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
