Dorothy Keener

QUEEN CITY, Texas—Dorothy Dorwese Zylks Keener, 103, died Friday, May 4, 2018, in Trinity, Texas. Mrs. Keener was born Nov. 22, 1915, in Zylks, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Keener; one son, Don Milton Keener; and one daughter, Shelia LaRue Dupree. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie Glenn and Margaret Keener of Trinity; one sister, Fay Thompson of Atlanta, Texas; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Queen City Funeral Home. Burial will be in Slaughter Cemetery, Rodessa, La. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
