EUGENE LEWIS

HOPE, Ark.—Eugene "Gene" Lewis, 85, of Hope died Sunday, May 6, 2108, in a local hospital. Mr. Lewis was born June 22, 1932, in Nettleton, Ark. He was a retired security policeman with the United States Army, a member of New Hope Baptist Church and a Korean War veteran. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Barnett. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Vicki Lewis of Hope; two daughters, Carol Lewis and Kathy Hill of Paragould, Ark.; one sister, Yvonne Rudman of Canoga Park, Calif.; one grandson, Cody Barnett; two great-grandchildren, Felicity Barnett and Alaiyah Barnett; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services were May 8 at Mammoth Cemetery, Gainesville, Mo., with Gale Wooten officiating. Burial was under direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home.
