MASON LANDRY

Mason James "Blackbeard" Landry, age 72, of Texarkana, Texas, joined his heavenly Father on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Mason was born September 1, 1945 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Mason and Dora Mae Landry. He grew up in China, Texas, moving to Harrison, Ark., his senior year of high school. Mason was a retired long haul truck driver who never met a stranger. Mason was a born-again Christian and was blessed with two church families, Eylau Hills Baptist Church and Flower Acres Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Thomas John Landry and Godfrey Landry. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years, Velma Bradley Landry of Texarkana, Texas; three daughters: Jessica Landry of Magnolia, Ark.; Stacy Clubine and her husband Michael of Texarkana, Texas; Belinda Vaclavicek and her husband Kevin of Valley Springs, Ark.; two sons: Richard Bradford and his wife Julie of Texarkana, Texas and Mason James Landry II; three sisters and one sister-in-law: Clara Credeur of Port Arthur, Texas; Dora Jean Williams and her husband Roger of Harrison, Ark.; Dorothy Dale and her husband Bill of Missouri and Sue Smart of Friendswood, Texas; six grandchildren: Nolan and Bethany Vaclavicek, Aaron and Abbie Clubine, Carlie Bradford and Brantley Landry and a host of family and good friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Murphy and Bro. Billy Luplow officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
