DeKALB, Texas—Louis Glenn Batchelor, 75, of New Boston, Texas, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at her home. Arrangements are pending with Bates Family Funeral Home. LAWRENCE HOUFF JR. Lawrence L. Houff Jr., 67, of Texarkana, Ark., died Tuesday, May 15, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Houff was born July 18, 1950, in Texarkana. He was a truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Cora Houff of Texarkana; three sons, Kelvin Huntley of Little Rock, Quantas Floyd of Richmond, Texas, and Anton Floyd of New Jersey; one daughter, Clintina Floyd of Springdale, Ark.; his mother, Laura Johnson Houff of Nash, Texas; six brothers, Gary Houff Sr., Harold Houff, Juan Houff Sr. and Cecil Houff of Texarkana, Marion Houff of Nash, Texas, and Arthur Houff of Richardson, Texas; one sister, Sherry Young of Wake Village, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Lonoke Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Jordan officiating under direction of Haynes Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
