MELBA WRIGHT

Melba J. Ray Wright, 60, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, May 18, 2018, at a local hospital. Ms. Wright was born March 22, 1958, in Texarkana. She was employed with CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System and a member of Mount Zion First Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Olford Ray of Helena, Ala., and Courtroy Ray of Texarkana; one daughter, Marilyn Ray of Texarkana; one brother, Roy Dunn of Camden, Ark.; three sisters, Ollie Jean Ford of Camden, Ark., Vernice Ray and Debra Rembert of Texarkana; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy S. Rembert officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
