LARRY DOWD

Richard Larry Dowd, 72, of Little Rock died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at his home. Mr. Dowd was born March 21, 1946 in Texarkana, Ark. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., a political organizer with the Democratic party, a member of Red River Vocational Technical College Board of Trustees and Board of Visitors, Foundation Board of Directors and other University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, a Methodist and a Vietnam War veteran. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Maloy Dowd of Little Rock; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sherri and Robert Beaty of Atlanta, Ga., and Amy Dowd Hinkle and Zack Hinkle and Lori Dowd Parker of Little Rock; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas, with the Rev. Allan Greer officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
