SHERYL BURGESS

Sheryl Kay Burgess, 72, of Fouke, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Burgess was a rural letter carrier, restaurateur, census taker, resale shop owner and employed in real estate. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kristin Murdoch; and two grandsons, Jessie Burgess and Zachary Mossinger. Survivors include her husband, John Henry Burgess; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Teresa and Joel Thomas, Kathy and Wiley Attaway and Ashley Gardner; one son, Edward Burgess; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Springhill Baptist Church, Fouke, with the Rev. Brad Watson and Frank McFerrin officiating. Burial will be in Fouke Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Texarkana.
