ATLANTA, Texas—Betty D. Hayes, 64, of Vivian, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, in a Carthage, Texas, nursing home. Mrs. Hayes was born July 30, 1954, in Vivian. She was a member of Eastern Star of Shreveport, La., and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9365, Wasilla, Alaska, and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Heather Dowden Jilg. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lacey and James Rego of Palmer, Alaska.; two stepsons, Andy Hayes of Deberry, Texas, and Michael Hayes of Waskom, Texas; one stepdaughter, Haley Perryman of Steamboat, Colo.; one brother, Mark Davis of Rodessa, La.; one brother-in-law, John Turnage of Yuma, Ariz.; her former husband, Bill Hayes; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hanner Funeral Service with Marvin Denton officiating. Burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
