ROBERT PETTEY

Robert Harold Pettey, 62 of Jefferson, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at his home. Mr. Pettey was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Texarkana, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Wright; and one stepson, Roger Beaty. Survivors include one son, John Pettey of Wrightsville, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Norweitta Damron of Jefferson; two stepsons, Al Wright of New Boston, Texas, and Dennis Beaty of Eureka, Calif.; four siblings, Lou Crye and Frankie McGray of Jefferson, Darrell Thomas of Illinois and Donald Thomas of Quitman, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the home of Shawnie Hall, 1540 State Hwy 49, Jefferson. Local arrangements are under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
