ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—J.C. Walton, 84, of Gurdon, Ark., died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at his home. Mr. Walton was born Oct. 26, 1934, in Strong, Ark. He was a retired supervisor with Georgia Pacific, Ashdown, Ark., a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church and an Army and Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Walton; and one son, Victor Walton. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Walton; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Donna Walton of Benton, Ark.; one daughter, Angela Renee Pettigrew of Ashdown; one stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Lavonda and James Diemer of Camden, Ark.; one brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Mertis Walton of Texas City, Texas; five grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services were Nov. 27 at Calvary United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bill O'Connell officiating. Burial with military honors was Nov. 28 at Rose Hedge Cemetery under direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Online registration is at ruffleswilcox.com.
