MARK PARKER JR.

Mark A. Parker Jr., 86, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, in a local hospice. Mr. Parker was born Oct. 29, 1932, in Redwater, Texas. He was retired from GTE, former realtor, former member of Pleasant Grove ISD School Board, a member of First Baptist Church and an Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dell Parker. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Hendrick Klopper and Lori and Jim Mishler; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark Steven and Kandie Parker; one sister-in-law, Gatha Parker; one special friend, George White; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at East Funeral Home, Moores Lane, with Henrik Klopper officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
