Dale Franklin Smith Jr., 63, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at his home. Mr. Smith was born March 4, 1955, in Texarkana, Ark. He was Director of Pharmacy at CHRISTUS St. Michael, president of Macedonia-Eylau Water Board and Liberty-Eylau Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Historic Black Cemetery Association, Pharmacy Association and Canaan Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Smith of Texarkana; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Valeriani and Jeanette Bead of Annapolis, Md., and Dale F. Smith III of Linden, Texas; three daughters and one son-in-law, Patrice and Evan Fitte of Texarkana, Laura Ashley Smith of Boston, Mass., and Mega Smith of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Gwendolyn Muok of Syracuse, N.Y., and Pamela Pullins of Texarkana; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Canaan Baptist Church with the Rev. Freddie Smith officiating under direction of Haynes Mortuary.
