JANICE THURMAN

ATLANTA, Texas—Janice Thurman, 73, of Atlanta died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, in a Texarkana, Texas hospital. Mrs. Thurman was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Birthright, Texas. She was a hairdresser, employed with Cutting Company and a member of Atlanta Public Library Board, Cass County Genealogical Society and Queen City First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul S. Thurman. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Heather Thurman-Roach and Lester Roach of Atlanta; one sister and brother-in-law Judy and Henry McCreery of Bloomburg, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services 11 a.m. Saturday at Queen City Cemetery with Jeff Parker officiating. Burial will be under direction of Hanner Funeral Service. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Queen City First United Methodist Church. Visitation will be after graveside services until 2 p.m. services at the church.
