MARIA ZARATE

DE QUEEN, Ark.—Maria Guadalupe Zarate Arellano, 69, of Grannis, Ark., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Ms. Zarate was born Feb. 17, 1949, in Juventino Rosas Guanajuato, Mexico. She was retired from Tyson Foods, a homemaker and a member of Asamblea Apostolica de la fe en Cristo Jesus, De Queen. She was preceded in death by one son, Samuel Zarate; and one grandson, Jose Luis. Survivors include six daughters, Juana Meza, Leticia Bennett and Faviola Zarate of Grannis, Rosalia Evans of Wickes, Ark., Virginia McCarley of Gillham, Ark., and Cristina Estrada of Nashville, Ark.; three sons, Daniel Rodriquez and Juan Carlos Zarate of Little Rock and Victor Zarate of Grannis; one brother; one sister; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Chandler Funeral Home with Jose Chacon officiating. Burial will be in Grannis Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
