CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Dorothy Ann Pearce, 83, of Clarksville died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, in a Clarksville nursing center. Mrs. Pearce was born April 7, 1935, in the Manchester community, Texas. She was a business, typing, shorthand and accounting teacher. Survivors include her husband, James Earl "Pete" Pearce of Clarksville; three daughters, Jaymee Annice Holder of Wichita Falls, Texas, Carmon Shanta Pearce of Lewisville, Texas, and Roxanne Ensz of Detroit; one brother, M.D. Whittle of the Manchester community; two grandchildren, Robert Austin Cooper of Wichita Falls and William Thomas Cooper of Lipan, Texas; two stepgrandchildren, Joshua Cave of Kansas City, Mo., and Christina Cave of Abilene, Texas; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home with Benny Cogburn and Andrew Whitehouse officiating. Burial will be in Detroit Cemetery.
