DeKALB, Texas—Carrol Joe Camp, 80, of Daingerfield, Texas, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. Mr. Camp was born May 13, 1938, in Daingerfield. He was a retired supervisor in the steel building industry, former member of Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Nett's Friday Fish Fry Club and Prospect Baptist Church, Jefferson, Texas. He was preceded in death by two wives, Mary Ann Nix Camp and Jane Barrett Camp; one son, Joe Barrett Camp; and one daughter, Laura Ann Camp Duck. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Bill Schleyer of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Carl Talley of Jefferson, Texas, and Brenda and Doyce Jones and Suzy Camp of Mount Pleasant, Texas; two grandsons, Brendan Schleyer of Kansas City, Mo., and Matthew Schleyer of Seattle, Wash.; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Simms, Texas, with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Wards Creek Cemetery under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, c/o Society Donor Services, P.O.
