MAGNOLIA, Ark.—James L. "Shine" Ellis, 64, of Magnolia died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Ellis was born July 8, 1954, in Magnolia. He was employed with Discount Carpet and Warnock Furniture. Survivors include one daughter, Angelia Parker; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy Ellis, Gloria and Sylvester Grow and Peggy Miller; one nephew, Lance Clark; one niece, LaTrica Chandler; three special friends, Leslie Jackson, Vance Dycus and Anthony Blake; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at R.L. Reed Funeral Home with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
