JAMIE HICKERSON

Jamie Martindale Hickerson, 89, of Texarkana, Ark., died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Hickerson was born March 10, 1929, in Emmet, Ark. She was retired from Texarkana Arkansas School District and a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, B. C. Hickerson. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Prissy Hickerson of Texarkana and Ron and Patty Hickerson of Newbern, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Janis and James Duke of Prosper, Texas; three sisters, Dorothy Otwell and Carol McVeety of Texarkana and Ella Bartee of California; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas, with the Revs. Richard Posey and Craig Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Relatives will be at the home of Randy and Prissy Hickerson, Texarkana, Ark.
