CARROLL WHETSTONE

Carroll O. Whetstone, 78, of Queen City, Texas, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, in a Little Rock hospital. Mr. Whetstone was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Bright Star, Ark. He was a pipe fitter and welder with Local 237, a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City, and a Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Sue Whetstone of Texarkana; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Whetstone of Queen City; one daughter and son-in-law, Shawnna and Jason Wilson of DeKalb, Texas; one sister, Marilyn Whetstone of Texarkana; and three grandchildren, Brailee Whetstone of Queen City and Dru Wilson and Sydni Wilson of DeKalb. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Chapelwood Funeral Home with the Revs. Gerald Wagstaff and Roy Ford officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
