CARROLL NELSON

Carroll Dean Nelson, 79, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. Mr. Nelson was born July 24, 1939, in Jefferson, Texas. He was retired from Loveall Music Co. and a member of American Bowling Congress, Texas Bowling Congress and Springdale Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Nelson. Survivors include one daughter, Toni Nelson Moore of Texarkana; one brother, Johnny Dale of Redwater, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda Sue and Rex Jones of Atlanta, Texas; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law, Kassidi Barnette of Wake Village, Texas, and Kristen and Brandon Latham of Hooks, Texas; six great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at College Bowl. Memorials may be made to Texarkana Youth Bowling Association Scholarship Fund, c/o College Bowl.
