HOPE, Ark.—Maurice Washington, 82, of Hope died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Washington was born July 4, 1936. She was a member of Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doylon Washington Sr.; two sons, Charlie Washington and Norman Washington; and one stepdaughter, Roberta Hurn. Survivors include two sons, Doylon Washington Jr. and Luther Washington of Hope; five daughters, Vetresia Washington, Teresa Johnson, Linda Hall and Shasmakeila Washington of Hope and Keisha Washington of Kansas City, Kan; three stepsons, Michael Logan and Jackie Logan of Hope and James Stewart of Kansas City; one stepdaughter, Vivian Dudley of Kansas City; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Washington Temple True Holiness F.M. Church with Elder Allen White officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Perrytown, Ark., under direction of Brandon's Mortuary. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
