JOHNNY TAYLOR

John William "Johnny" Taylor Sr., 77, of Maud, Texas, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at his residence. Mr. Taylor was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Louisiana. He was employed in maintenance with Liberty-Eylau Schools and a member of Faith Community Baptist Church, Maud. Survivors include his wife, Alice Taylor of Maud; one daughter, Glynis Droesbeke of Maud; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John Jr. and Tamara Taylor of Maud, Terry and Pam Taylor of Atlanta, Texas, and Steven Taylor and special friend, Angela Willis; one brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Patricia Taylor of Wake Village, Texas; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Community Baptist Church, Maud, with the Rev. Augustine Alaniz officiating. Burial will be in Rock Hill Cemetery.
