CYRUS BATTIEST JR.

IDABEL, Okla.—Cyrus Battiest Jr., 79, of Wright City, Okla., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at his home. Mr. Battiest was born Jan. 31, 1939, in Bethel, Okla. He was retired from the Navy, a former locksmith and a member of Glory Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Wright City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Greg Richerson of Wylie, Texas, and Faith and Harrell Clark of Antlers, Okla.; two sons, Ralph Battiest and Ronald Battiest of Wright City; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Glory Baptist Church, Wright City, with Ron Fleming and Luther Battiest officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Slater Memorial Cemetery under direction of White Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
