DeKALB, Texas—Larry Dale Tidwell, 58, of DeKalb died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at his home. Mr. Tidwell was born Feb. 14, 1960, in Sherman, Texas. He was a cook and a member of Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by one son, Dale Eugene Tidwell. Survivors include his wife, Penney Tidwell of DeKalb; two daughters, Marlania Ipina and Amanda Obando of DeKalb; two sons, Brandon Tidwell of New Boston and Concepcion Baldelamar of DeKalb; his mother, Sarah E. Tidwell of Emory, Texas; two sisters, Sarah Jackson of Emory, Texas, and Elizabeth Ann Tidwell of Atlanta, Texas; two brothers, Erbi Tidwell of Annona, Texas, and Lidge Tidwell Jr. of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sand Hill Cemetery, Simms, with Johathan Moles officiating. Burial will be under direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
