ESTEL BENNETT

Estel Lee Bennett, 98, of Jefferson, Texas, died Monday, May 27, 2019. Ms. Bennett was born Sept. 19, 1920, in Linden, Texas. She was a member of Starlight COGIC, Jefferson. Survivors include one son, James Bennett of Kennedale, Texas; two daughters, Essie Louise Hightower of Dallas and Florine Bennett of Texarkana; two brothers, Will Irving of Plano, Texas, and Bernard Irving of Dallas; four sisters, Thelma Miles of Hutchins of Texas, Gladys Marshall of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Erma Johnson and Alice Faye Shelton of Dallas; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Charity Temple True Holiness Fellowship Ministries with Elder Carrie White and Elder Hazel Washington officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery under direction of Richardson Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
