MAGNOLIA, Ark.—Jerome "Gee" Box, 63, of Magnolia died Sunday, May 26, 2019, in a Shreveport, La., hospital. Mr. Box was born Oct. 5, 1955, in Cale, Ark. He was formerly employed with Firestone, Prescott, Ark., and AmFuel, Magnolia, former member of Bethel AME Church and a deacon with Agape United Church, Rosston, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Watson Box; four sons, Je'Quayus R. Box of Waldo, Ark., Deljuan Box Sr. of Hope and Bernard Box and Shaun Haynie of Rosston; one daughter, Tamika Anthonette Box-Hawthorne of Benton, Ark.; two sisters, Ollie Marie Jackson of Prescott and Deborah Ann Roberts of Hope; two brothers, Geoffrey Wayne Box of Rosston and Kelvin Box of Pine Bluff, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Willisville, Ark., with the Rev. Patrick Gulley officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Rosston, under direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home. Visitation will be noon to 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Online registration is at rlreedfuneralhome.com.
